Religious/Spiritual Tangible Interactive Artifact Corpus Database

Provided below is a database of tangible interactive artifacts (TIAs) for religious and spiritual (R/S) purposes. The goals of this database are to help establish a “design space” for R/S TIAs and to give interested parties the opportunity to see what types of artifacts have been created (and what their features might be). This database includes examples from academia, art, museums, and commercial ventures. The database categorizes these artifacts across several major dimensions (background, people, places, things, and practices) and numerous categories (e.g., how many people interact with the artifact at a time, what the artifact is made of).

The database can be accessed directly in Google Sheets at this link.

If you would like to submit an artifact for addition to the database, please complete this form or send an email with the details about the artifact to spirited.hci@gmail.com.
